Lake Anna is divided into two sections via the dams. The private side which has a smaller surface area of water, but the water is warmer and the water traffic is very reduced due to the fact that the private side of the lake is for home owners use only.
The public side is larger and the water slightly cooler, the water traffic is also higher, because of the public facilities that allow anyone to access the lake.
